University Centre Quayside (UCQ) have been awarded the prestigious We invest in People gold accreditation by Investors in People.
The We invest in People accreditation is one of the most prominent standards for people management in the world, making it a global benchmark when it comes to investing in people and delivering sustainable results. Only 17 per cent of accredited organisations achieve gold.
Gold accreditation means that organisations have got the policies in place but also means that everyone – from CEO to apprentices take ownership for making them come to life.
Commenting on the award, Michelle Elliott, Vice Principal of UCQ, said: “We are all extremely proud to have been awarded the prestigious We invest in People gold accreditation. It has given us a real boost to continue to push the organisation forward, especially during this unprecedented time. I would like to thank my colleagues for their hard work in securing this prestigious achievement and their continued efforts to improve the business.”
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate University Centre Quayside. Gold accreditation on We invest in People is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places University Centre Quayside in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
Stuart Cameron, Director of Executive Education of UCQ, said: “Being awarded We invest in People gold accreditation, is a fantastic achievement, one which I know the team are incredibly proud of. Within our size bracket, UCQ was placed in the top 4% of organisations. The actual score we achieved was 21% above the average industry benchmark for higher education and 17% above the IIP benchmark overall. To those organisations that entrust UCQ to develop the strategic capabilities of their current and future managers, this achievement demonstrates that your staff are in the hands of an organisation that not only “talks the talk” but “walks the walk”.
