Business Development Manager (North East)

UCQ are growing our Essential Work Skills Team.   We are recruiting a highly motivated, experienced Business Development Manager to engage with businesses across the North of Tyne (Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland), offering a range of learning and development solutions in sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and storage.

This role requires the applicant to generate new business and undertake a range of business development activities to grow the number of employers across the North of Tyne to maximise opportunities. Through our range of work-based programmes and funded options, we can support employers to upskill existing staff and recruit to new positions.

Applicants should have a proven track record of successfully engaging with employers in both strategic and operational activities in priority sectors.  In addition to outstanding customer service, applicants should have experience of achieving challenging targets, deadlines and outputs.  Experience of work-based learning/training is an advantage.

Engagement Officer

We are growing our Essential Work Skills team and recruiting to a number of key posts.  We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Engagement Officer to work across the Tees Valley to liaise with key stakeholders including Job Centre Plus, referral organisations, charities, community groups, employers and learners to recruit to essential work skills programmes and maximise opportunities for eligible participants.  These programmes are aimed at preparing people for employment or upskilling existing employees.

Applicants should have a proven track record of working with referral organisations, providing information, advice and guidance, achieving challenging targets, deadlines and outputs.

HE Academic Support Tutor

We are growing our HE team and recruiting to a number of key posts.  We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Academic Support Tutor to support HE students’ academic development and skills, educational support needs and functional skills across HE programmes to drive improvements in academic performance and achievement of modules, the degree and apprenticeship.

Applicants should have a proven track record of delivering Functional Skills, dyslexia assessment and student support.  Qualified to degree level essential and experience of supporting academic writing is advantageous.

Trainer/Assessor

We are growing our FE team and recruiting to a number of key posts.  We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious, innovative and experienced trainer/assessor to deliver a range of programmes, both in the workplace and classroom, including Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO) and Business Improvement Techniques (BIT), across the North East and Tees Valley.

Applicants should have a proven track record of delivering and assessing workplace learning, including PMO, BIT and Health and Safety, in addition to experience of training in a classroom environment, achieving challenging targets, deadlines and outputs.  You should also have experience using e-portfolio system to support learners, process and mark assessments and provide feedback.
