Understanding Dignity & Safeguarding in Adult Social Care

Course Overview

Our Dignity and Safeguarding Level 2 course aims to provide you with a thorough understanding of the importance of dignity and safeguarding, and is valuable to those working in, or looking to work in, the health and social care sector.

During the course you will complete the following units:

Unit 1: Understanding safeguarding in adult health and social care

Unit 2: Principles of dignity in adult health and social care practice

Unit 3: Understand duty of care in adult health and social care

Unit 4: Understand dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care

This course is available to be completed by anyone with a interest in Safeguarding, or where the work place requires a Safeguarding Officer. Individuals can progress on to complete Level 2 Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values course and allows the learner to have the fundamental underpinning knowledge.

In addition to the skills you will develop throughout your distance learning programme you will also develop a range of transferable skills including communication skills, time management and digital skills.

Course Information

Title: Understanding Dignity & Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care


   Duration: Up to 10 weeks, however, flexible to meet individual need.  


   Upon successful completion of a programme, students will achieve the TQUK Level 2 qualification (601/4344/7)


  Transferable skills developed will include:

  • Research

   Start date are flexible; students can enrol throughout the year and study at a time and place to suit their circumstances.


  Each student will receive a dedicated tutor who will provide regular remote delivery supported by a paper-based or online/interactive study guide and assessment pack.


   Study Format: Paper-based or online study pack; tutorials; work activity; assessment and robust feedback.
