University Centre Quayside (UCQ) has once again delivered an excellent student experience, according to the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026 results.
Each year, all final-year Higher Education students in England take part in the Office for Students (OfS) National Student Survey, sharing feedback on their course and their wider experience of university life. The OfS sets a benchmark for every provider based on factors like subject mix and student characteristics — so it’s a genuine, like-for-like measure of performance, not just a raw score.
For the second consecutive year, UCQ has come out above that benchmark on every single NSS question and every theme. Thank you to every third-year student who took the time to give us their feedback — this achievement is built entirely on it.
At a glance, this year’s results show:
- Above benchmark on all 27 NSS questions
- Above benchmark across all 7 themes
- 98.8% positivity for Learning Resources
- 98.2% positivity for Academic Support
- 97.3% positivity for Teaching on my Course
- 29.8 percentage points above benchmark for how clearly students see their feedback acted on
- 20.7 percentage points above benchmark for Organisation & Management
- 17.8 percentage points above benchmark for Student Voice
- Multiple questions achieving 100% student positivity
Commenting on this year’s results, Michelle Elliott, Vice Principal at UCQ, said:
“Excellent results. So proud of UCQ, colleagues and students. It is their dedication and support that makes UCQ such an amazing place to study and work.”
These results reflect two years of sustained, sector-leading performance — not a one-off. They’re a testament to the dedication of our staff and the honesty of our students in helping us keep improving.
We remain committed to listening to our students, acting on their feedback, and continually enhancing the learning experience we provide.
