UCQ Launches Strategic Plan 2026–2035
University Centre Quayside (UCQ) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Strategic Plan 2026–2035, setting out a clear and ambitious vision for the next decade.
This milestone has been developed through a collaborative and inclusive process, involving colleagues across the organisation alongside our Governors. It reflects a shared commitment to shaping the future of UCQ and delivering meaningful impact for our students, partners and wider communities.
A shared vision for the future
Our Strategic Plan outlines UCQ’s ambition to be recognised as a leading provider of work-based further and higher education. It is underpinned by a strong focus on our people, exceptional learning, valuable research and meaningful social responsibility.
At its core, the plan is driven by five strategic goals that will guide our direction over the next ten years:
- Deliver exceptional, inclusive and forward-thinking learning, teaching and assessment
- Strengthen partnerships that create shared value for learners, employers and communities
- Sustain long-term financial independence and organisational resilience
- Achieve Degree Awarding Powers and full university title
- Continue to be recognised as an excellent place to work
Together, these priorities ensure UCQ remains responsive to the needs of learners, employers and society while maintaining a strong and sustainable organisation.
Developed with our community
The Strategic Plan has been developed collectively and democratically, with contributions from staff across UCQ. This ensures it reflects the perspectives, expertise and ambitions of our whole organisation.
This collaborative approach strengthens our shared sense of purpose and our commitment to delivering the plan over the next decade.
Updated Core Values
As part of the launch, we have also refreshed our Core Values, which sit at the heart of everything we do and guide our decision-making, behaviours and relationships.
